A grantmaking pause

Our recent leadership changes bring an opportunity to reflect on where we have been and to set the course for where we want to go.  With that in mind, we are announcing a pause in grantmaking.

Note: We received an unprecedented number of Tier 1 requests in August before applications closed. They are being reviewed as quickly as possible. We expect to let applicants know in November whether their projects were approved for funding from the Foundation.

Helping others is an Alaska tradition

Rasmuson Foundation works to promote a better life for Alaskans by providing grants, bringing people and organizations together and encouraging others to give back. Learn more about our Foundation’s history, the Rasmuson family, the board, and the leaders and individuals who do this work.

What We Support

As the largest private funder in the state, we invest in projects that reach every aspect of an Alaskan’s life. The work of grantees and partners contribute to quality health care and social support, thriving people and communities, education and economic possibility, vibrant arts and culture, and civic and philanthropic responsibility.

Grantmaking in action

Our grantees are innovative, compassionate and resourceful. Their work enriches the lives of Alaskans each day affecting stories of change across the history of our state.
