John A. “Jay” Gibbons III joined the Rasmuson Foundation Board in 2015. He is the founder and managing partner of Swanson River Capital Management LLC, an investment management firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Mr. Gibbons’ prior experience includes 11 years at Trust Company of the West, the last three as managing director and co-portfolio manager of the value added and value opportunities strategies. Before joining Trust Company of the West, Mr. Gibbons worked as an equity analyst at Odin Partners LP, Merrill Lynch and Co., and Bear, Stearns and Co. He began his career at BayBanks, Inc. Mr. Gibbons holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and an AB in biochemistry from Bowdoin College. Mr. Gibbons lives in Greenwich with his wife and three sons.
