Carmen Goodwin joined the Foundation in January 2009, bringing extensive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and benefits through her prior work with Latash Investments, Cook Inlet Tribal Council and Hawaiian Vacations. She holds professional certification from the Society for Human Resource Management as well as a certificate in nonprofit management. She also is a notary. She manages employee payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding and other areas of human resources. Her duties include coordinating the Foundation’s workplace giving campaign.

Originally born in Mexico and raised six years in California, Carmen has called Alaska her home most of her life. It is where she met her husband and raised her son. She enjoys hiking, fishing, and exploring the beautiful sites this state has to offer.
