Our grants come in all sizes, from providing cross country skis for kids, to equipment for village search and rescue missions, to large capital projects for new clinics, libraries, and community centers with long-lasting benefits.

Striving toward our vision of an Alaska where people, cultures, and communities are thriving, we offer five main grant types to Alaska organizations and individuals.

We also help finance projects through Program-Related Investments, and we provide support for comprehensive solutions through our initiatives.

Our Grants

Big Ideas

Catalytic long-term investments that create transformative systems-level change through partnership and collaboration with multi-sector partners and communities. Big ideas are efforts that seek to address major social and economic challenges. Current and past efforts include addressing homelessness, the Alaska Long Trail, and the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
