Dear colleagues,
I know the past week has been especially challenging for organizations across the state. As we work to make sense of the implications of recent Presidential administration executive orders, I want to ensure you have the most up-to-date information and tools. We’re thankful to our partners at The Foraker Group for supporting nonprofits, the Alaska Municipal League for supporting our cities, and the Alaska Federation of Natives for supporting our tribes.
- The Foraker Group has updated its website with the latest details on the federal funding freeze, with resources and recommendations for Alaska’s nonprofits.
- The Alaska Municipal League has a complimentary site at Navigating Federal Funding.
- We encourage all nonprofits and tribal governments to fill out Alaska’s Federal Funding Impact Survey before Feb. 7. The information gathered in this survey will be an important tool to establish an informed picture of how the executive orders would impact Alaska, including allowing funders to know how we can help.
- For a quick reference, the National Council of Nonprofits tracks current and future executive orders here.
Please help us by sharing these resources and the survey so we may have a centralized information source to identify trends, themes, and potential collaborations.
This year, Rasmuson Foundation will celebrate its 70th year of serving Alaskans. Helping the people who call Alaska home is our highest calling and empowering Alaskans to help each other is our mission. We will continue to be here for Alaskans, for the next 70 years and longer.
Warmly,

Gretchen Guess
President & CEO, Rasmuson Foundation
