2essentialz | Tyler Young, a Sugpiaq and Ts’msyen (Laxgiik) hip hop artist, producer, DJ and promoter, will record a full-length studio quality album “Yaawk – Return of the Potlatch”. This collection of ten or more tracks will center on the theme of reclaiming culture and will be accompanied by an album release party at The Nave in Spenard, where fellow Alaska Native artists will be invited to perform as part of a live music show.

When asked what he would like the public to know, Young responded, “I’m very grateful to receive the IAA as it provides support in following my dreams in expanding personal artistry in music and promoting live music shows.”
