2025 Project Award

Alaina Bankston will create an Inupiaq language workbook for towards Pre-K and Kindergarten students who are just beginning their Indigenous language learning journey. The workbook will include illustrations of the Inupiaq alphabet (atchagat), numbers (kisurrutit), colors (qaungich), and more. Bankston will design and transform these resources into a printable book and have it printed professionally.

When asked what she would like the public to know, Bankston responded, “I’m honored to receive this award and look forward to continuing my lifelong journey of learning and creating.”
