About the artist

Christy NaMee Eriksen is a multidisciplinary poet, teaching artist and organizer. She roots her art in social justice and community engagement. 

2020 Fellowship Award

Eriksen will create a new body of work focused on her teen years as a Korean adoptee. She will explore themes of loss and identity in different forms: poetry, spoken word performance and a novel-in-verse for young adults.

2016 Project Award

Eriksen will professionally document her work three spoken word videos featuring new and revised poems.

2013 Project Award

Eriksen will produce a spoken word album.
