2025 Project Award

Emma Hill will create a body of work using unique birdsongs as the foundation for songwriting by isolating the calls of specific birds, determining their musical intervals and keys, and structuring compositions based on this natural information. She hopes to inspire a deeper listening to the natural world and create a musical bridge between art and ecology.

When asked what she would like the public to know, Hill shared that she “is a musician, entrepreneur, activist, and non-profit founder dedicated to fostering creative communities through music and art. She is the founder and host of Spenard Song Circle and the co-owner of Rage City Vintage. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in community spaces, Emma Hill remains committed to uplifting artists, sharing stories through song, and ensuring that music and art continue to thrive.”
