Jamey Bradbury

Communications Associate

Jamey Bradbury joined Rasmuson Foundation in November 2025 as a Communications Associate, bringing a strong background in writing and storytelling to the organization.

Originally from Illinois, Jamey came to Alaska in 2002 as an AmeriCorps volunteer focused on disaster mitigation and response. Later, she served in the Peace Corps, delivering HIV/AIDS prevention education in Namibia. Back home in Anchorage, she has served in a variety of communications roles, most recently as a communications specialist for Cook Inlet Tribal Council. Her journalism has appeared in several local publications, including Alaska Business Magazine. In 2018, she published her debut novel with William Morrow. The same year, she was recognized as one of the Alaska Journal of Commerce’s Top 40 Under 40.

Jamey holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Southern Illinois University and a master’s of fine arts in creative writing from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She has served on the board of the Alaska Writers Guild since 2018. She enjoys teaching writing workshops at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center, running, swimming, biking, and reading.
