Project Award 2025

Max Stout, the drag king persona of Stacy Katase, performs regularly in the Juneau community. Stout will elevate his drag artistry through intensive training in makeup, hairstyling, costume design, and movement. Stout will work with award-winning artists and professionals in the field and will network with working artists in Alaska and the lower 48. 

One thing that Max Stout would like the public to know is that he is a drag king performing regularly with Gigi Monroeʼs Juneau Drag. For this grant, he will be working closely with Robyn Rebbe, an award-winning IATSE Local 706 journeyman artist with 19 years of experience in the film industry, as well as Robin OʼDonoghue, an Anchorage-based MUA and established performer.
