2025 Project Award

Paul Basile, a musician originally from New York City who intentionally relocated to live in Bethel years ago, will mix, master and produce his third full-length album of fourteen folk/rock songs, collaborating with local musicians to bring this set of songs to life under the name of Great Elk.

When asked what he would like the public to know, Basile responded, “After a long hiatus I’m incredibly happy to be making music again and grateful for the support from Rasmuson which will help me achieve my immediate goals.”

Listen to “All Yours,” recorded in October 2024. Basile wrote the song in the spring of 2023, when the river in Bethel was “breaking-up” and flood waters were rising around his house.
