Samona Norombaba joined Rasmuson Foundation in October 2018 and currently serves as senior program associate supporting nonprofits doing vital work in their communities. She’s worn a few hats at the Foundation and loves the opportunity to connect with people from all over Alaska.

A Florida transplant, Samona moved to Alaska in 2015 in search of adventure and found it, plus friends, family, and a deep love for the state. She previously worked for the Anchorage International Film Festival as program director, coordinating the event and managing volunteers who screen the more than 1,000 submissions. Outside the office, she loves exploring Alaska on foot, bike, and pack raft.
