About the artist

Sheryl Maree Reily is a photographer and mixed-media artist. Originally from New Zealand, she has lived with her family in the mining village of Ester, Alaska, since 1981. Reily’s work has appeared in more than 50 shows, and is represented in most of the major state collections. Her first solo exhibition at the Anchorage Museum was in 2010.

2019 Project Award

Reily will create ReWilding: large-scale, site-specific installations using projected images and video to highlight the critical need for human reconnection with nature. Urban images will overlay wilderness, and vice versa.

2014 Fellowship Award

Reily will do creative reflection and experimentation.

2008 Project Award

Reily will create several large mixed-media pieces executed in a variety of disciplines.
