Tasha Pineda

 Chief Program Officer

Tasha Pineda joined Rasmuson Foundation in August 2022 as a program officer and was promoted the following year to vice president of strategy. In 2025, she became chief program officer, overseeing all core and strategic grantmaking as well as partnerships. Along with all grantmaking, Pineda oversees partner relations and ensuring that funding decisions are aligned with community needs and long-term goals.

Pineda’s career is marked by a series of impactful accomplishments. At Providence Alaska, she held the position of director of accountable care, playing a pivotal role in implementing cost-effective healthcare initiatives. As director of the Anchorage Health Department, she demonstrated exceptional leadership in orchestrating the city’s response to a magnitude 7.1 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic. Her expertise extends to the statewide level, where she has contributed to strategies aimed at improving healthcare quality and reducing costs for active employees and retirees.

Pineda’s diverse background encompasses a range of expertise, including nonprofits, clinical services management, childcare licensing, nutrition program development, Medicaid expansion initiatives, criminal justice reform, and substance misuse policy formulation.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Alaska Pacific University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Alaska. She has also served on the University of Alaska Anchorage Master of Public Health Advisory Committee. In 2015, Pineda was inducted into the Delta Omega Honor Society and was recognized as one of the Alaska Journal of Commerce’s Top 40 Under 40.

In her free time, she can be found driving her children around, wondering where in the Alaska ocean her husband is fishing, tromping in the Chugach Mountain range or rejuvenating in a sauna.

She brings a wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the Alaska community.
