William (Bill) Van Couwenberghe joined Rasmuson Foundation as its Director of Finance in March 2024.

After graduating from Alaska Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, Bill worked at Deloitte & Touche. There he completed his requirements to be a CPA in Alaska. Bill also worked at NANA, Tikigaq Corporation, McKinley Capital Management and, most recently, Tanadgusix Corporation. In 2012, he became a CGMA (Certified Global Management Accountant).

Bill is a Member-at-Large on the GeocacheAlaska! Inc. board, has served on his church’s finance committee for 20 years, and has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for the past 30 years.

He lives in Anchorage with his wife Beth and two children, Anthony and Annemarie, along with their cats, Pebbles and Concrete (or Fluffy, depending on whom you are talking to). Their eldest daughter, Annalena, lives in Eagle River and teaches first grade at Chugiak Elementary. Bill enjoys bowling, geocaching and traveling.
