Pick.Click.Give. 2016

On January 1, Alaskans can begin making donations to nonprofits they care about through Pick.Click.Give. when they file online for their PFD. Some might be tempted to give less, or not give at all. This is the time when we should consider doing something THAT MIGHT BE HARD –rather than follow the reflexive instinct to pull back, we should do just the opposite, by maintaining or even increasing our giving to protect the life that we love.

Foundation announces $7.6 million in grants and initiatives

Anchorage – At its July 1 board meeting in Skagway, Rasmuson Foundation directors made financial investments to remember the Foundation’s past and to spur action for the state’s future.

A totem pole to celebrate the Rasmuson Foundation’s connection to Yakutat earned a $57,000 award for the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe.

Something new when you Pick.Click.Give.

When you log in to share some of your PFD through Pick.Click.Give. this year, you will see something new: seven percent of donations collected by nonprofits will be used to fund the administration of the program. Rasmuson Foundation President Diane Kaplan says this is good news, and a source of pride for Alaska. In today's post, she elaborates on why.
