Foundation Awards $13.5 Million

Anchorage, Alaska –  The Rasmuson Foundation Board of Directors announces that $13.5 million has been awarded to Alaska nonprofits in grants and initiatives to improve the quality of life in the state. The largest award announced was for Southcentral Foundation, which will receive $3 million for the start-up of the Nuka Institute.

Housing Anchorage: Breaking gridlock. Breaking ground.

There are too few housing units to meet the current and projected housing needs in Anchorage. This is a real problem for victims of domestic violence, for working families, for job seekers, and kids returning from college. Rasmuson Foundation is embarking on a collaboration, Housing Anchorage, to find broad-based community solutions to improve the viability of housing options for Anchorage's workforce and spur economic growth.

Foundation Announces Grants, Loans

Anchorage – Rasmuson Foundation’s Board of Directors conducted its biannual meeting yesterday and approved $9.6 million in funding for nonprofit projects across Alaska. With these awards, Rasmuson Foundation surpassed $200 million in total grantmaking, which it began in 1955 with a $125 grant to Wasilla Presbyterian Church for a motion picture projector.
