At the time of her sabbatical, Alison Kear had worked for Covenant House for more than 20 years. She spent her time away on a series of trips with the people she cared about the most but rarely got to see since moving to Alaska 24 years earlier. Her mom requested that she get to be her first and favorite trip, to the Oregon coast. She experience Maui with her childhood best friend then Greece and Italy with more friends then back to the United States for more Lower 48 adventures.
