The Alaska Native center preserves and strengthens the traditions, languages and art of Alaska’s Native people through statewide collaboration, celebration and education.

Jonathon Ross went on sabbatical in 2009. He continued to work in the nonprofit arena and as of 2023 was serving as director of Arctic Indigenous-led conservation for the Ocean Conservancy.
