Organization Description

United Way of Anchorage includes donors, advocates, partners and volunteers working together to improve health, education and financial stability for all.

Our senior fellow on homelessness, Michele Brown, and her husband, Jeff Berliner, received the 2021 United Way of Anchorage Tocqueville Society Community Service Award in August 2021.

Michele Brown received a Sabbatical Award in 2016 during her time leading the United Way of Anchorage. She served there 17 years before retiring in 2020. She joined Rasmuson Foundation the next year as a senior fellow on homelessness.
