Kodiak Senior Services executive director Pat Branson said her organization was strengthened by her temporary absence, while she went abroad to learn about Spanish language and culture.

Branson said:

“My being gone for almost three months empowered the agency’s staff. They did wonderfully well in maintaining services and the budget. The Board of Directors was very supportive and became stronger as a unit. The sabbatical also taught me that I can let go and be away from the organization and with the great staff and Board we have, all will be fine.”
