Asia Freeman

Lifelong Alaskan Asia Freeman lives in Homer and works in a variety of media. She graduated with a BA in Painting from Yale University in 1991 and received her MFA in 1997 from Vermont College. Freeman had a duo show with Fran Reed at Pratt Museum in 2005 and three solo shows around Alaska since that time. She received a Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Award in 2007. An adjunct instructor of art for the University of Alaska, Kachemak Bay Campus, Freeman is also artistic and executive director of Bunnell Street Gallery in Homer.
