Harold Nels Wallin, an Anchorage resident since 1964, attended the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio, the Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy and Willamette University in Oregon. His art has been shown in several solo exhibitions in New York and Alaska, and in group exhibitions across the U.S., England and Italy. Wallin’s work is held in the permanent collections of the Alaska State Museum and the Anchorage Museum. In 2008, a collection of Wallin’s works on paper were shown in a solo exhibition in New York City through the invitation of Artists Unite in collaboration with the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA).

His 2010 Project Award allowed him to purchase equipment to make movies.
