Igor Pasternak

Igor Pasternak was born in Odessa, a Ukranian port city on the Black Sea coast. Pasternak began his education in fine art when he came to Alaska, earning his BFA in Painting from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His thesis exhibition, titled Odessa Borealis, simultaneously celebrated life on the coasts of the Black Sea and the Bering Strait. Pasternak’s paintings have been shown at various galleries and are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of the North in Fairbanks.
