Jim Fowler is an Alaska artist and illustrator. He enjoys plein air landscaping, executing his paintings outdoors. Fowler has also illustrated more than a dozen children’s books since 1985. He currently exhibits art in galleries in Anchorage, Juneau and Ketchikan. Other illustration credits include Highlights for Children magazine, Alaska Fish and Game magazine; and the Alaska Southeaster magazine. He is active in classroom presentations and demonstrations, and was a participant in the Artists-in-the-School program in 2001.
